Banner Elk’s popular Art on the Greene series continues in 2026 with shows four weekends of the summer. The shows fill the area in front of the Historic Banner Elk School with fine art from local and regional artists representing a variety of media, such as ceramics, glass, metal, wood, watercolor, acrylics and oil. Over 60 juried artists display their work at each event. “Every show has a little different mix of artists, so there’s always a variety,” says Banner Elk Tourism Director Nancy Owen. “And artists are chosen by a jury of their peers. All work has to be a certain quality and it has to be handmade. Vintage Market Days of Charlotte is a juried indoor and outdoor market at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center in Concord, with vendors selling original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, and home decor. The next edition runs June 12 to 14, 2026, with a Friday early buying event from 10 am to 4 pm followed by general admission Saturday 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday 10 am to 3 pm.
