Celebration of Spring is a self-guided driving tour of individual pottery studios and galleries across Seagrove, known as the Handmade Pottery Capital of the USA. The 2027 tour runs April 16 through 18, from 10 am to 5 pm, letting visitors watch kiln openings, meet potters and buy handmade pottery directly from more than 100 working studios. Some shops add demonstrations, hands-on activities, food and music, and a few offer online shopping as well.

The Dare A250 Liberty, Legacy and Lift-Off Faire takes place Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Manteo, North Carolina, marking the 250th anniversary of the 1776 Declaration of Independence. Downtown Manteo hosts free performances and festivities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and a ticketed Star Spangled Spectacular follows at Roanoke Island Festival Park, running 3:30 to 7 p.m. with live music, historical exhibits and storytelling.

Spring Daze Arts and Crafts Festival returns to Bond Park in Cary, North Carolina on Saturday, April 24, 2027, from 9 am to 5 pm. The festival features more than 170 North Carolina artists, over 20 food and beverage vendors, four stages of entertainment and a Kid Daze area with hands on activities for children.

Fire on the Mountain is an annual celebration of the art of the blacksmith that is always held on the last Saturday in April in Downtown Spruce Pine, NC. The event is a partnership between Spruce Pine Main Street, Penland School of Craft, and the Toe River Arts. Each year, the festival contains blacksmith demonstrations, blacksmith vendor booths, youth and adult forge-off, hands-on tents, kids’ activities, food, and more. Originating in 2007 as a local festival, the festival was originally called “Hammerin’ on the Toe.”

Vintage Market Days of NC Triangle runs November 13 through 15, 2026, at the NC State Fairgrounds on Trinity Road in Raleigh. Friday is an early buying event from 10 am to 5 pm, followed by general admission Saturday and Sunday, when hours run until 4 pm. The Got to Be NC Festival is a rain or shine event at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, celebrating North Carolina agriculture with a craft beer garden, a craft cocktail garden, an antique farm equipment display and the Carolina Pig Jig benefiting children's charities.
