This Privacy Policy explains what information FestKit collects, how we use it, and when we share it. By using FestKit, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including account details, organization details, event information, map content, vendor application data, communications you send through the platform, and support requests.

We also collect technical and usage information such as device/browser data, log information, and analytics needed to operate, secure, and improve FestKit.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information and service data to:

• provide, maintain, and improve FestKit;
• authenticate users and secure accounts;
• support event planning, mapping, vendor management, and communications workflows;
• respond to support requests and service inquiries;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

4. Payment Data

When an organizer enables payments, FestKit shares limited organizer account information with Stripe, including the organizer's name and email address, to create or set up a connected account through Stripe Connect. Stripe's privacy policy governs how Stripe handles that data after it is shared.

Vendor payment information, including card numbers and bank details, is collected and processed entirely by Stripe. FestKit does not see, store, or have access to vendors' full card numbers, bank account numbers, or similar payment credentials.

FestKit does store transaction metadata needed for organizer records and platform functionality, such as payment amounts, statuses, timestamps, event and vendor associations, Stripe session identifiers, and related operational notes.

5. How We Share Information

We share information with service providers who help us operate FestKit, such as hosting, infrastructure, analytics, communications, and payment partners. We may also disclose information:

• when required by law or valid legal process;
• to protect the rights, safety, and security of FestKit, our users, or others;
• in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary course of business.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the purpose for which it was collected.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may update certain account information through the product or by contacting us. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain information, subject to legal and operational limitations.

9. Third-Party Services

FestKit may link to or integrate with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, including Stripe's privacy policy for payment-related processing.
