Sunny’s Market is a vibrant pop-up market series that transforms locations into unforgettable community experiences. Currently hosted at the Oak Ridge Town Park in Oak Ridge, NC, our events have quickly grown into one of the region’s most exciting destinations. More than just a market, Sunny’s Market is a celebration of community, creativity, and culture — with the scale and energy of a music festival. Each event is FREE and brings together a curated mix of 60+ local vendors, food trucks, live music, and family-friendly entertainment, filling the park with a buzzing atmosphere all day! Our markets consistently draw hundreds to thousands of attendees per event and are supported by strong marketing investments, both digital and on-the-ground, to ensure robust attendance and visibility. Our mission is twofold: Help vendors truly grow and build a living doing what they love. Create a destination where families and the community can come together, shop local, and have an unforgettable day.

Its goal is to showcase the history of Catawba Valley alkaline glazed stoneware and the potters who continually produce this traditional utilitarian ware. Historically most potters utilized wood-fired kilns at home sites and relied on word-of-mouth sales. Thus, the CVP&AF provides an annual sale where pottery made in Catawba Valley and beyond, can be purchased. Over the years, development and growth have allowed the Festival to include potters from across the state and the South, as well as dealers offering historical pottery and antiques and providing a context for understanding the history and use of pottery in the South.
