Each spring, the City of Wamego comes alive with thousands of visitors, vibrant colors of tulips and more than 200 craft vendors. The vivacious colors of the tulips from Holland are the backdrop for this April art and craft fair in Wamego City Park. Free parking is available on side streets surrounding Wamego City Park. The Great Plains Renaissance Festival has run in Wichita, Kansas for more than 25 years, held weekends at Sedgwick County Park from 10 am to 6 pm. The spring 2026 event includes entertainment, artisan and food vendors, and a Highland Games competition, with a community food drive collecting donations.
The Wichita Women's Fair runs April 23 through 25, 2027, at Century II Expo Hall in downtown Wichita. Hours are noon to 7 pm Friday, 9 am to 6 pm Saturday and 11 am to 5 pm Sunday, with hundreds of exhibitors covering fashion, beauty, food and drink, and home decor. General admission is $12, seniors 65 and older pay $11, and children 10 and under are free.

Legionfest is an annual community festival on the Parade Field at the Ellsworth American Legion Post 174, with gates opening at 10 am for a full day of vendors, food trucks, a cornhole tournament, live music and kids activities including a pedal tractor pull. A freewill donation biscuits and gravy breakfast starts the morning at 7 am. The festival is run by the Legion post rather than a separate events company, so vendors reach organizers by phone or through the event's Facebook page.

The Hutchinson Art Fair is an annual indoor art fair at the Sunflower South Building on the Kansas State Fairgrounds, run by the Hutchinson Art Center at 405 N Washington St. Started in 1962, it has grown to more than 40 artist booths from local and regional artists, with live music and kids swag bags.
The Prairie Village Art Show, celebrating its 70th year, runs June 4 through 6, 2027, at the Shops of Prairie Village, 6920 Mission Rd in Prairie Village, Kansas. Hours are 5 to 9 pm Friday, 10 am to 8 pm Saturday and 11 am to 4 pm Sunday, rain or shine. As the second oldest art show in Kansas City, it draws about 100 artists and more than 15,000 visitors over the weekend.
