Garden in the Park started in 2005 as a fundraiser for a little red caboose. Keep Opelika Beautiful continues to use funds raised at Garden in the Park for community projects. Some projects accomplished are trashcans for downtown Opelika, landscape for several vacant lots, landscape renovation to breezeway, trees for courthouse square, greenspace enhancements at schools. Besides art vendors, there will be entertainment on stage, Rocky Brook Rocket rides, children’s crafts and delicious food. Keep Opelika Beautiful staff and volunteers will monitor all state requirements. 1. Enclose a check or money order with the completed application 2. We have monthly events in Downtown Scottsboro and there are things happening all over town. Trade Day in Scottsboro is Scottsboro’s oldest tradition. Its a day for local craftsman, food vendors, and anyone to come sell or trade their items. The Center is perfect for formal or banquet style dining. The facility will make your special event a memorable one. All of the proceeds from Trade Day go towards Main Street Scottsboro’s efforts in revitalizing downtown. The 3rd annual Mountain Laurel Arts & Music Festival runs Saturday, May 17 from 10 am to 5 pm at Pisgah Civitan Park. The lineup includes live bands on the Main Stage and Amphitheater, a car show with awards at 1:30 pm, and art and craft vendors alongside food trucks. Admission is free, with $5 parking.
The Arts Alive is a juried arts and fine crafts festival held the third Saturday and Sunday in May in historic downtown Florence, Alabama.
