The Semmes Chamber of Commerce's largest annual event, the Azalea Festival, takes place in late March and fills a full day with vendors, a plant sale, a Jeep show, live entertainment, food and activities for all ages. The plant sale is sponsored each year by Mary G. Montgomery High School's Agri-Business Academy, and the Jeep show ends with an award ceremony for standout entries. Vendors, the Jeep show and sponsors each register through separate online application forms coordinated with the City of Semmes.

The Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo has run for over 60 years, starting when J.P. Jones and the Opp Jaycees organized a family friendly weekend of snake shows, arts and crafts and food. It has since grown to include beauty pageants, the Rattlin' 100 car race at South Alabama Speedway, snake races, buck dancing contests, children's activities and concerts by touring country acts alongside local performers. Arts and crafts and food vendors apply through separate forms linked on the event's site, with payment required at the time of application.

Fendall Hall is now a historic site of the Alabama Historic Commission. It has 3 rooms of the finest Victorian-era murals as any house in America. The black & white Italian marble floors are original and still in the home. This beautiful home is open for day tours and candlelight. Completed in 1906, The Shorter Mansion was built by Eli Sims Shorter and Wileyna Lamar of Macon. Wileyna was the heiress to SSS Tonic fortune and Eli was a cotton broker. Noble Street Festival returns on Saturday, April 11, 2026 for the 24th year! The Sunny King Criterium brings a kaleidoscope of colors and whirl of action to Anniston with twenty exciting bicycle races in Downtown Anniston. Town Council meetings occur on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Waverly Town Hall. The Waverly Zoning Board of Adjustments and the Planning Commission meet the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively. The Montgomery Curb Market has run in Montgomery, Alabama, since 1927, moving to its permanent home at 1004 Madison Avenue on May 11, 1947. Art on the Lake takes place April 18 and 19, 2026, at the Guntersville Recreational Center, 1500 Sunset Drive, with hours 10 to 5 Saturday and 10 to 4 Sunday.
