The Mothman Festival takes place September 19 and 20, 2026, along Main Street in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, marking the anniversary of the town's 1966 Mothman sighting. Events include vendor booths, live music, guest speakers and cosplay, next door to the Mothman Museum, with $20 overflow parking available at Krodel Park.

The Preston County Buckwheat Festival runs September 24 to 27, 2026, in Kingwood, West Virginia. Now a five day event, it packs in a parade, carnival rides, arts and crafts booths and live music, all built around the buckwheat cakes and sausage the festival is named for. Gate admission is free all weekend, though carnival ride wristbands cost $15 on Wednesday and $25 Thursday through Saturday.

Town Council Meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of the Month at 6PM in the White Hall Public Safety Building Chambers The Town of White Hall was established December 18, 1992. The Election of Government Officials occurred on February 9, 1993. The first meeting for the Town of White Hall was called to order by Mayor William "Bill" McIntire. The Town held meetings on Local Drive until 2005 when the First Town Hall was built on Timrod Drive. The Town grew substantially over the years with an increased office staff, police force, public works department, and municipal court.

The 6th annual ARTober Fest at Timberline Mountain runs October 2 through 4, in partnership with ArtSpring WV. The weekend includes indoor and outdoor art markets, chairlift rides, a hayride, live music from acts like Dalchord and Cooley Gang, and family activities such as craft stations and a movie night.

Wellsburg Applefest, now in its 46th year, has celebrated the area's apple growing history since 1979 in Wellsburg, West Virginia. The festival nods to the legend of Johnny Appleseed planting trees along the Ohio River and to the Grimes Golden apple discovered on the Thomas Grimes farm, with proceeds funding scholarships for local children.
