South Kingstown Farmers Market is Rhode Island's longest-running farmers market, bringing farm products, prepared food, and local vendors to the University of Rhode Island campus. It runs outdoors through the growing season and indoors in winter.

Fayerweather Craft Guild hosts monthly outdoor craft fairs on the grounds of historic Fayerweather House, featuring guild members and outside vendors. Visitors can also shop handcrafted work by more than 40 local artisans in the on-site gift shop.

Bicentennial quilt stitched in 1976 by the founding members of the Fayerweather Craft Guild, with thirty colorful panels depicting local landmarks. Founded in 1966, the non-profit Fayerweather Craft Guild is a 501-c-3 organization dedicated to preserving traditional crafts and promoting new ones. Its goal is “to improve the technical skill and aesthetic values in the decorative arts, and to encourage an interchange of ideas among craftsmen.” Today, as it has done for more than 50 years, the guild offers hand-made gifts for sale from April through Christmas Eve. There's something for everyone, including pets – and during your visit you can learn about the Fayerweather family of Kingston from historic documents, artifacts, and detailed narratives. The Strawberry Festival and Outdoor Craft Fair takes place on the grounds of the historic Fayerweather House in Kingston, most recently Saturday, June 20, from 10 am to 4 pm with a rain date the next day. Visitors can stroll craft vendor displays from around Rhode Island and buy fresh strawberry shortcake with a beverage for 5 dollars, served from 11 am to 2 pm. The guild also runs a members' gift shop inside the 1820s house and other seasonal fairs, including a blueberry festival.
