The Market of the Day: "Lettuce Shop in Peace." (It's a pun. We're keeping it.) Okay, so. We made a market. It's inspired by that little burger place vibe — the specials board, the seaside town, the feeling that everyone here is trying their best, mostly. There will be small shops. Handmade art, apparel, jewelry, treats — honestly, really good stuff, which is kind of surprising even to us. Every shop is small, family-run, and hanging on with love, stubbornness, and a specials board that changes daily. Come. Bring your family — yes, even the weird one, especially the weird one. Buy things. Make puns. The vendors need this. WE need this. It's gonna be great. Or fine. Probably great.
Books Breath is a one-day touring market for books and bookish handmade goods, run by New Row Productions, the same company behind Magical Meetups and the Pop Culture Popup. Each city stop is curated, meaning New Row Productions hand selects vendors to keep a consistent mix of unique books, book themed crafts and boutique goods. A specific date and venue for the Pittsburgh stop were not published on the organizer's event listings at the time of this search.
Step right up, folks — the Shack is open after dark, and everything weird is on display! As part of our mission to help makers connect with customers, Handmade Arcade has launched a Maker Directory on our website. The Maker Directory is a one-stop website for shoppers to easily find makers to shop from and will allow Handmade Arcade to increase our promotion of makers all year long. Before submitting your business to the Maker Directory, we encourage you to explore the Maker Directory FAQs . To ensure we’re using this resource to encourage folks to shop local, only maker businesses located in Western Pennsylvania are eligible to be included in the Maker Directory unless they have previously sold at a Handmade Arcade market. Maker Directory businesses must also align with Handmade Arcade’s definition of a “handmade business.” Please allow for 7-10 business days for us to get your business on the Maker Directory after you submit this form.
