Kennebunkport's Christmas Prelude runs December 3 through 13, 2026, marking its 45th year. Signature events include a Dock Square tree lighting on Friday, December 4, at 5:30 pm, Santa's arrival by lobster boat at the Nonantum Resort on Sunday, December 6, at 1 pm, and a fireworks display over the cove on Friday, December 11, at 6:15 pm. The 11 day event also features caroling and a hat parade.

Living Waters Christian Church holds a holiday craft market at its building on Parker Farm Road in Buxton, with local vendors selling handmade crafts, wreaths, books and ornaments alongside cookie decorating and children's crafts. The church was founded in 1980 by a small group meeting in a Buxton living room and now gathers every Sunday at 10 am. The Standish Historical Society holds an annual holiday craft fair at Standish Town Hall, 175 Northeast Road, in Standish, Maine. The most recent listing has it running December 6 and 7 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with local crafters, homemade chowders and snacks, raffles and a Giving Tree collection for the local food pantry. The Historical Society also operates the Old Red Church Museum on Oak Hill Road and can be reached by email for craft fair details.

Exhibition Hall will be open to exhibitors on Tuesday from Noon to 7 PM and on Wednesday from 8 AM to 10 AM. After that time the Hall will be closed for Judging Exhibits may be removed from the Hall on Sunday from 8:30 to 11 AM. No exhibits may be removed on Saturday without the express permission of the Superintendent of Hall. Please read all of the categories carefully as adjustments have been made. All entries will be judged keeping the age of the exhibitor in mind, therefore youth and adult exhibits will be treated fairly. No item may be entered for more than one premium. Items in Category H through O must have been crafted within 24 months and not previously exhibited at Monmouth Fair.

In 2022, Georgie Kendall started the Rhubarb Festival. Now celebrated annually on the first Saturday in June, the festival offers demos on planting and caring for rhubarb and explores rhubarb’s versatility in food and drink. Local vendors, music, kids’ games, a rhubarb tasting table, crust making, and all things “rhubarb” are celebrated at this unique event in Downeast Maine. Georgie Kendall grew up in Perry, Maine, attending church suppers as a child with her grandmother, Leona, who was an amazing baker. Leona made doughnuts and pie crust with lard. The only pies that weren’t devoured at those suppers were the rhubarb pies. Georgie has loved rhubarb since she was a kid so she could not understand why rhubarb pies were always the last to be finished. The Maine Fiber Frolic runs June 6 and 7, 2026, from 9 am to 4 pm, at the Windsor Fairgrounds on Route 32. Run by volunteers and fiber enthusiasts, it promotes fiber farms and fiber artists.
