Interested in joining our community of local producers? The Saco Farmers Market mission is to provide connection between local producers and customers. We encourage prospective vendors to visit the market to get a feel of what other products are already available. Familiarize yourself with the location, hours and length of season before applying. We are a farmer's market, which means that we prioritize vendors selling products that they have grown themselves. Artisans will need to demonstrate why they feel their product fits in with the "farmers' market". The market prioritizes vendors who are able to commit to the entirety of the season over day-vendors. Maine law and our market by-laws state that no more than 25% of produce may be bought-in. You may submit an application to "girardfarmmaine@gmail.com". One of Maine's oldest farmers markets, the Saco Farmers' Market has operated since 1975. The 2026 season opens Saturday, May 9, 8 am to noon, at the Saco Valley Shopping Center at the corner of Spring and Scammon Streets. Vendors sell seasonal vegetables and fruit, lobsters and clams, local beef and pork, eggs, seedlings, cut flowers, honey, maple syrup, jams and baked goods, and the market accepts SNAP and EBT.

The third-annual Main Street Market Craft Show runs Sunday, November 30, from 9 am to 3 pm at the Thornton Academy Gymnasium in Saco, presented by Renewal by Andersen. More than 60 vendors sell handcrafted soaps, jewelry and festive decor, and a new Kid Vendor section spotlights young entrepreneurs on stage.
