The Bowling Green Farmers Market runs Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm, April 5 through October 11, on the lawn of Atlantic Union Bank at 211 North Main Street. Shoppers can find seedlings, plants, fresh produce, baked goods and crafts from local growers and makers.

Grandin Village Farmers Market runs Saturdays from April through October, 8 am to noon, in the parking lot behind the Roanoke Co+Op at 1319 Grandin Rd SW. Vendors sell organic produce, pasture-raised meat and eggs, baked goods, and artisan goods like pottery, candles and soaps. The market doubles SNAP, Medicaid and WIC purchases, so a $10 spend can yield $20 in tokens for food.

Applications may be submitted in paper form (use the pdf above) or electronically. starting at 7:30 every Saturday, the Brite Bus West Loop will depart from the Hub at Lewis St. and stop on West Beverley St. just a half block beyond Grubert St. for Market customers. The City is working to install the bus stop sign, and we plan on having this available starting on April 4th. 2020 West Beverley boasts more free customer parking than we’ve ever had before! Look out for signs once you turn into the lot from the Grubert/Beverley intersection, which will guide you to the top of the lot closest to the Court building. The 2026 Preseason vendor meeting will be March 27, 11am to 2pm at the VFW. The VFW is at 115 Klondike Rd, Independence, VA 24348 It’s a potluck. Attendance is expected. ( Coming from Independence, Klondike Rd is a left off HWY 58) Seniority is the primary factor used to assign location but regular attendance, helpfulness, and arriving on time matter too. Fees for the 2026 are as follows: Car side of the pavilion $150, HWY 21 side $120, tent area $100. The day fee remains $20. The schedule is here .
