Every 2nd & 4th Saturday 30+ vendors set up at 2545 Bulverde Road (aka 2545 FM 1863) to connect with the community and share their small business offerings. The Shopping Days Vendor Market runs Saturday, December 6, from 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday, December 7, from 10 am to 4 pm at the Plano Event Center, 2000 Convention Center Boulevard. Admission is free, with vendors selling fashion, gifts, sweets and seasonal decor.

Owning a small business was not a childhood dream. I wanted to be a teacher. I knew that was what I wanted to do since kindergarten. I was able to accomplish that dream and had the privilege to teach for eleven years. I always enjoyed crafting but never thought of it as a way to make money. One Christmas I made a large decoupaged cross for my aunt. She was a successful artist by her own right so the fact that she hung it in her office was an honor. And then the orders started pouring in. First, from her friends and co-workers, and then large orders from her place of employment.
