Shopping for the family with Small Business!

The Shopping Days Vendor Market runs Saturday, December 6, from 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday, December 7, from 10 am to 4 pm at the Plano Event Center, 2000 Convention Center Boulevard. Admission is free, with vendors selling fashion, gifts, sweets and seasonal decor.

Hallettsville Market Days is held quarterly at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Highway 77 South, drawing upwards of 90 vendors per show and averaging over 2,500 shoppers per event. The venue offers an indoor market, covered outdoor spaces and an open area under oak trees, plus RV hookups for visitors staying nearby.

Owning a small business was not a childhood dream. I wanted to be a teacher. I knew that was what I wanted to do since kindergarten. One Christmas I made a large decoupaged cross for my aunt. She was a successful artist by her own right so the fact that she hung it in her office was an honor. And then the orders started pouring in. First, from her friends and co-workers, and then large orders from her place of employment. I began doing craft shows and eventually started my own (1st and 2nd Saturday Craft and Vendor Market) in 2012. The idea of a craft boutique started to creep into my thoughts. Join us for the Highland Village Art Festival where we'll have displays from over 30 outstanding gallery quality artists, artist demonstrations, live music and entertainment, and interactive children’s art activities. Musical performances will be held in the south courtyard next to Chico's. The Highland Village Art Festival is a joint venture between the City of Highland Village and The Shops at Highland Village benefiting Kids Kastle. There will be a limit to the number of exhibitors. Bee County Market Days is a seasonal vendor market held in front of the Bee County Courthouse in downtown Beeville, Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors apply online before paying, and once approved receive a payment link by email. Direct sale and multi-level marketing businesses, along with animal sales, are not permitted.
