The show will be held June 3-5 in the Rushmore Hall at The Monument in beautiful downtown Rapid City. This show, sponsored by the Black Hills Quilters Guild, will be open for a preview on Thursday, June 3 from 5:00-8:00 PM, on Friday, June 4 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and on Saturday, June 5 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Admission is $8 per person per day or $15 for a 3-day pass. Members that help with set-up will receive a coupon for free admission; other members will get a $2 discount for a one-day pass or $5 discount for a 3-day pass (must show membership card to receive discount). Quilt tags for registered quilts will be available at all guild meetings between May 11- June 1. The top half of the tag must be pinned to your quilt; the bottom half is your receipt. The Siouxland Renaissance Assoc. is an all volunteer, non-profit organization whose mission is to work together to share our love of the Renaissance era, viewed from Tudor England. We provide the community with opportunities to participate in family-friendly events with a focus on the Renaissance throughout the year. Outlaw Square lies at the heart of Deadwood – a living and vibrant community with a continuous history that traces its roots back to America’s last great gold rush. The square was created because of a community-wide effort to build a local gathering space to accommodate public events. Historically, the City of Deadwood had a number of these public plazas, including a gazebo and outdoor concert venue on Sherman Street and Chautauqua Park on the top of McGovern Hill. But as the decades wore on, these spaces succumbed to age and redevelopment, and modern Deadwood has been without a public square. Until now. The 78th Annual Czech Days festival takes place June 17 through 19, 2027, in Tabor, South Dakota, a town of about 400 people that traces its Czech heritage to settlers who arrived as early as 1869. Saturday in the Park is a Canton Chamber of Commerce event at Jack Fox Park, part of the city's 2026 calendar marking Canton's 160th anniversary. It includes a parade, vendor booths, inflatables, face painting and a cookout near the senior center. Vendors register through the Chamber's own vendor registration form, and the Chamber also runs the weekly Canton Open Air Market at the same park on Thursday evenings through early August.
We are beyond excited for the 7th Annual South Dakota Chislic Festival which will be held on Saturday, July 26 at Freeman’s 40-acre Prairie Arboretum from 10AM to 9PM. The festival committees are busy preparing a chislic-day filled with food, beverages, activities, and entertainment for all ages. The SDCF will again have its own booth serving chislic. The Brown County Fair runs August 10 through 16, 2026, at the Brown County Fairgrounds in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
