The Healthy Carolina Farmers Market meets every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Greene Street on the University of South Carolina campus. It is organized through the university's sustainability program, with the student run Sustainable Carolina Garden and other vendors selling locally grown and sustainable products. The market supports the regional agricultural economy and connects to the campus garden's work on food access for students.

South Carolina State Fair's Home and Craft competition runs alongside the main fair at the State Fairgrounds on Rosewood Drive in Columbia. South Carolina residents can register entries in categories like canning, hobby crafts and fabrics and threads, with online registration open from July 1 to September 1. Commercial and craft vendors apply separately through the fair's own vendor form for a display booth in the Goodman Building or on the grounds.

The Cottontown Art Crawl is a unique way for the historic downtown community of Cottontown to support its local Columbia artists. The Cottontown Art Crawl, founded in 2019, had humble beginnings. It was the vision of one Cottontown resident who invited a handful of her artist friends to bring their art and set up displays on a few front porches.
