Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these "makers" to show hobbies, experiments, projects. We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth - a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. The Independence Seaport Museum features an active boat shop that is dedicated to the skills and traditions of wooden boat building and sailing in the Delaware Valley and New Jersey. Mt. Airy Day takes place Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a rain date of May 3, centered on Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia's Mt. Airy neighborhood. Organized by the Mt. Airy Day Committee through East Mount Airy Neighbors, the annual community event includes entertainment and activities for kids.

The Art Star Craft Bazaar is a juried arts and crafts retail show held at Cherry Street Pier in Philadelphia, usually over a weekend each May. It accepts only original handmade work, ruling out vintage, resale, packaged food, or fair trade goods, and offers a 10 by 10 foot booth, a smaller 10 by 6 foot space, or a 6 foot table. It is run by Art Star, the studio behind several other Philadelphia pop up markets, including a Holiday edition each November.

ODUNDE’s 2027 street festival and marketplace take place Sunday, June 13 at 23rd and South Streets and surrounding blocks in Philadelphia. Related cultural events run June 6–12. The marketplace features food, merchandise and cultural vendors. The official vendor page states that 2027 applications will open in the months ahead; its closed applications and current price examples are for 2026.

Since 1990, the show has built itself into being the tri-state area’s largest outdoor, juried art festival featuring approximately 300 different local and nationally known artists and crafters. Collectors, buyers, and designers will visit Main Street during the two-day, closed street event. The festival is free to the public and features artists from eight different disciplines: fiber, glass, ceramics, jewelry, mixed media, painting & drawing, photography, and wood & sculpture.
