The City of Long Beach Arts & Crafts Boardwalk Festival takes place on the city's 2.1 mile boardwalk, with a recent edition held July 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The nearly forty year tradition draws about 200 vendors selling handmade crafts and merchandise, along with food vendors and thousands of visiting shoppers.

We have by far the most quality indoor and outdoor events of any Long Island promotor, currently with 10 event dates in the Staten Island Mall and 30 outdoor event dates remaining throughout the year, so the best way to determine your event rental rate and space availability is to go to the specific page dedicated to the event dates you are interested in. Only one application is required to be submitted if you wish to prepay for any one or all our events this year. Vendors may rent for any one day of any outdoor two-day event. Dinners & Dances — Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance Fuel up before getting your dance on! Enjoy a delicious, culturally-themed dinner with the company of the GrassRoots Culture Camp community and your favorite instructors, then dance the night away! The Alum Ridge Boys & Ashlee play old-time country music with stirring harmonies and classic instrumentation including f iddle, steel guitar, upright bass , and acoustic guitars. Their country dance sets are deeply inspired by artists of the 1940s and 1950s whose performances were broadcast on such widely influential radio programs as KWKH’s Louisiana Hayride and WSM’s Grand Ole Opry. Expect to hear classics and lesser-known gems from artists such as Johnny Horton, Kitty Wells, Webb Pierce, the Kershaw Brothers, and more. We are in for a real treat with The Alum Ridge Boys & Ashlee’s traditional old-time country honky tonk!

When the first Dutch settlers arrived on Long Island in 1636, there was approximately 13 Indian tribes, or chieftaincies, comprised of several thousand native Americans. They lived in well defined areas and were known for their location. Thus the Merricck derived their name from their word for “bare land” and the Copiague for “place of shelter”. The earliest known house built by a European was occupied by Thomas and Freelove Jones at the head of Massapequa Creek near the profitable Indian trail that became Merrick Road. The Jones family prospered and grew, and in 1770 built a mansion-the first in the area- near today’s site of Massapequa High School. By 1780, a number of estates, primarily owned by the descendants of Thomas Jones, stretched along Merrick Road from Amityville to Seaford. In 1868, the first steam train came along and the Floyd-Jones families had a private station built...

The Myrtle Avenue Plaza is a 25,000 square foot pedestrian oasis on Myrtle Avenue between Hall Street and Emerson Place in Clinton Hill. The plaza holds 42 trees, hundreds of perennial plants, various types of seating, space for events, and other amenities. The plaza was constructed and is managed by the City of New York, with the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership providing supplemental maintenance support.
