The City of Hoboken's Division of Cultural Affairs runs this annual festival on Washington Street between Observer Highway and 7th Street, typically on a Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm each May. Past editions have drawn over 300 artists and vendors alongside three stages of live music and a children's activity area with rides, games, and craft tables. The city partners with EventHub to handle vendor and sponsorship registration, which opens a few months before the festival and closes once capacity is reached.

What began in 1979 as a small “clothesline art exhibit” now encompasses more than a mile of the business district along Haddon Avenue from 10am to 5pm .
