HarvestFest celebrates the changing seasons with a rich diversity of arts and crafts, mums, pumpkins, jams, face painting, balloon twisting, pies, and the final offerings of locally grown produce. HarvestFest is a grand community fall festival that takes place in the center of downtown Billings, on streets below Skypoint.This fall street festival draws people from all over the Northwest region into the streets and businesses of downtown.The event has something for all ages; experience the aromas of food-truck fare like roasted nuts, steak sandwiches, and kettle corn, live entertainment performing under Skypoint, Montana Brewing Company’s annual Oktoberfest Beer Garden and Stein hoisting contest, an interactive children’s area coordinated by Wise Wonders Science & Discovery Museum includes free crafts and activities. ArtWalk Downtown Billings is a self-guided evening stroll through downtown Billings galleries and studios, most open from 5 to 9 pm, including stops like the Yellowstone Art Museum, Western Heritage Center, Sandstone Gallery and Harry Koyama Fine Art. Organized by the Downtown Billings Association, the walk covers dozens of participating shops and galleries across the district.

The Montana Renaissance Festival takes place in Billings on June 6 and 7, 2026. Organizers describe it as the state's biggest and longest-running event of its kind, featuring costumed characters, staged combat, period demonstrators, and food and drink vendors.

SummerFair, the Yellowstone Art Museum's annual arts and crafts festival in Billings, features booths from local and traveling artists working in painting, photography, ceramics, glass, wood, metal and fiber, alongside live entertainment, artistic demonstrations and food from local vendors. Local nonprofits also set up informational booths, and all items for sale are handmade.

The 2026 MontanaFair runs from Friday, August 7 through Saturday, August 15, at the fairgrounds in Billings. 4-H and FFA exhibitors have a Judging Day on Monday, August 3, from 8 am to 9 pm, and non-livestock exhibits are released the following Sunday, August 16, from 10 am to 2 pm.
