In 1846 Cross Street Market was built to serve the growing population of South Baltimore. One of the USA’s oldest public markets, it has changed and grown as our city has. The food hall, in the heart of historic Federal Hill, is nestled between the north and south sides of E. Cross Street and runs the length of the block between Light & S. Charles Streets.
Park in our West Market Garage for easy access to Lexington Market. Entrances are available off of Paca St. and Greene St. Market assumes no liability for vehicles remaining in the garage after Market business hours or when parking operations are closed. The Baltimore Museum of Industry Farmers Market is held every Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., from May 17 to November 22. Visitors can enjoy a diverse selection of fresh, locally sourced produce, artisanal treats, and handcrafted goods. Create Baltimore provides grants to individual artists and arts organizations, throughout Baltimore City to produce free arts & cultural events that are open to the public.
Free Fall showcases the importance of accessible arts programming with free concerts, dance and theater performances, festivals, lectures, workshops, art exhibitions, special events, and more.
This annual program is made possible by the generous funding support of the Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC).
Baltimore's Civil Rights Week has been more than an event. It has been a declaration, a reminder that the work of equity is not finished, and that our city refuses to wait.
This year, we go further.
Civil Rights Week 2026, hosted by Mayor Brandon M. Scott and the Baltimore City Office of Equity and Civil Rights, moves beyond commemoration. Under the theme, From Promise to Power, this year's convening is a call to action. From October 2 - 9, civic leaders, business executives, scholars, organizers, philanthropists, elected officials, and everyday Baltimoreans will gather for a week of transformative events spanning youth empowerment, public safety accountability, fair labor, disability rights, maternal health, and more.
At a time when civil rights are being challenged, dismantled, and dismissed across this country, Baltimore is choosing a different path. Through the work of the Office of Equity and Civil Rights, this city continues to affirm that equity is not optional, it is foundational. These events aim to celebrate the equitable advancement of Baltimore City while uniting community leaders, residents, scholars, policymakers, business leaders, philanthropists, and so many others.
Across the country, we are seeing growing attempts to dismiss systemic injustice, defend exclusion, and discredit diversity as a threat rather than one of our nation’s greatest strengths. Under Mayor Scott’s leadership, and championed through the Baltimore City Office of Equity and Civil Rights, Baltimore is boldly rejecting that narrative.

Charm City Art & Craft Vendor Market is a three day market at The Grand Baltimore on North Charles Street, running October 9 through 11, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily. It brings together artisans, makers and small businesses selling handmade crafts, original artwork, boutique fashion, home decor and specialty foods. It is produced by Chic Events DC, which runs a shared vendor registration system across its arts and crafts fairs.
Baltimore Open Studio Tour (OST) Weekend is a citywide event that brings together professional artists and the public to give art lovers, students, collectors, and creative influencers the opportunity to meet, connect with, and purchase art from some of Baltimore City’s most vibrant artists. Each year during Baltimore OST Weekend, attendees travel from across the Maryland region to visit Baltimore-based artists in their studios, see their works in progress, and step into their creative processes.
B26 is a juried exhibition of Baltimore area visual artists, produced by Create Baltimore and Quid Nunc Gallery, running October 16 through November 1, 2026, at Quid Nunc in Baltimore's Mount Vernon neighborhood. Started in 2019 by curator Kirk Shannon-Butts, the B series highlights emerging contemporary artists across painting, textiles, mixed media, photography, film and animation. One featured artist is chosen Best in Show and receives a 1,000 dollar award, a year of gallery representation and a solo exhibition.
Christmas Village in Baltimore is a combination of an outdoor and indoor holiday market. The event is modeled after the traditional Christmas Markets in Germany like the famous Christkindl Market in Nuremberg.
