Step by Step Promotions runs the Thanksgiving weekend Festival of Arts and Crafts at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Grayslake, Friday November 27 through Sunday November 29, 2026. The show fills about 310 booths measuring 10 by 10 feet, with a booth fee of 285 dollars, and runs Friday 2 to 7 pm, Saturday 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is 5 dollars, with children 11 and under free.

Westfest is an annual event held every Labor Day Weekend that salutes the area’s Czech heritage, featuring constant entertainment, authentic Czech music, food and a plethora of family-oriented activities. Westfest was founded in 1976 as a means for the West community to raise funds for a variety of projects, including various athletic facilities for youth groups, senior citizen activities, a community center, library and other civic and cultural programs.
