The 25th annual Chicago Pride Fest takes place June 20 and 21, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. in Chicago's Northalsted neighborhood, the weekend before the city's Pride Parade. The two day street festival features live music on three stages, drag performances, the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus, a Proud Pet Parade on Sunday at noon, and more than 150 food and merchandise vendors, with a suggested $20 donation for entry.

Harmony Fest and Fall Market takes place September 19 from 2 to 8 p.m. in downtown East Moline at Runner's Park. Presented by QCAIR and East Moline Main Street, the event features dancing, music, art and vendors, along with a parade of flags representing 40 countries to celebrate the community's diversity.

Macomb Heritage Days brings a classic car show, a parade, carnival rides, an exotic animal petting zoo with free pony rides, and a John Bliven Run/Walk to Macomb, Illinois. The Friends of the Library also hold a book sale, and the Macomb Airport hosts a pancake breakfast and open house during the event.

There’s a special kind of excitement that fills the farm at the start of peach season. Long before sunrise, our crew heads into the orchard to begin harvesting the first peaches of the year. I rarely sleep well the night before—I’m always too eager to see that first load of fruit come in. The first pick is usually light. We begin with early cling varieties and slowly build up to larger harvests. At Eckert’s, we harvest each tree up to five times, spaced a few days apart. This approach takes more time and labor, but it’s the only way to ensure each peach is picked at the peak of ripeness. Once a peach is removed from the tree, it stops producing sugar—so the longer it can stay on the branch, the better it tastes. In those early days, our team focuses on training and precision. Windy City Smokeout pairs live sets from the genre’s top touring artists with authentic barbecue from pitmasters across the country. Glendale Heights Fest runs July 9 through 12, 2026 at Camera Park, opening Thursday from 3:30 to 9:30 pm. The festival includes carnival rides, games, live music and family activities, closing out Sunday night with a fireworks show.

The community feeling between the vendors and customers, I also really liked the audience it attracted because everyone was very positive and nice! The organization, the interactive mural was amazing! Vendor selection was great. Meeting the people and seeing what a cool downtown area Elgin has! The community and event theme. I liked the community mural idea. Location and vibes. Attendees were engaged and supportive. Even if they didn’t purchase, everyone was lovely to chat with. I enjoyed the atmosphere and variety of artists!
