Ovando's Old West Christmas Fest is held each year on Friday, November 23, filling downtown Ovando with Christmas lights, wood smoke and handcrafted items from local artisans. Kids can build gingerbread houses, pet farm animals, take horse drawn wagon rides and meet Cowboy Claus, who rides into town along Highway 200, while the church hosts a breakfast casserole cook-off with the winner announced at noon.
