Metamora is a historic canal town where visitors can tour a working gristmill, ride the Whitewater Railroad, and walk the 2.6 mile trail along the historic Whitewater Canal. Its farmers market is a nonprofit that supports local farmers, artisans and craft vendors, running Tuesday evenings from 5 to 8 pm and again on the third Saturday afternoon of the month. The town separately hosts its Canal Days festival each October, coordinated by Historic Metamora, Inc.
