The Codman Square Farmers Market provides the community with fresh, local, organic produce; added value products from local vendors; education on nutrition; activities in the Codman Square Park and information about the Codman Square community and its stakeholders. We started the Codman Square Farmers Market in 2008 to help bring healthy food options to Codman Square because the lack of health food options was causing major health inequities including obesity and diabetes type II.
