About the event

The Union Fair/Maine's Wild Blueberry Festival is one of Maine's oldest and most beloved agricultural fairs. Held annually in the town of Union, it began in 1869 as a harvest fair organized by the North Knox Agricultural & Horticultural Society and has been a fixture of Midcoast Maine life ever since. A unique feature of the fair is that it is also home to the State of Maine Wild Blueberry Festival , which was added in 1959 to celebrate Maine's wild blueberry harvest.
