As we mark America 250, we celebrate the land, heritage, and shared stories that shaped Mount Airy and continue to define our community today. Join Mount Airy native Mason Hintermeister, a Ph.D. student at Johns Hopkins University, for a live outdoor demonstration exploring early human technology. Mason will create replicas of ancient stone tools and share how studying them has changed the way we think about what it means to be human. Location: Watkins Park, 615 Center St. • Bring a lawn chair. Join us at the Community Garden Food Forest for the planting of American Chestnut trees as part of our long-term sustainability and restoration efforts.
