City of Iowa City administrative offices and other facilities will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Please note that garbage, compost, and recycling will be collected on Labor Day. The Iowa City Farmers Market is an open-air market managed by the Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department. It is located in the Chauncey Swan parking ramp, Chauncey Swan Park, and on E. Washington St. in Downtown Iowa City. The market runs from May through October. We strive to serve all populations by providing access to fresh, locally produced products. Watch an Audio Description version of this video here.
