The Pickens Maple Syrup Festival marks the local celebration of Mountain State Maple Days, held every year on the third full weekend in March. The festival features all you can eat pancake and buckwheat cake feeds using local maple syrup, sugar camp tours, wood chopping, crafters and vendors, and live entertainment at the Pickens Opera House. Since it began, the festival has only sold and served maple syrup made in West Virginia, and crafters or vendors apply by mailing an application and deposit to the festival's PO Box.

The 2025 Maple Syrup Festival will be held on Saturday, March 15th and Sunday, March 16th in Pickens, WV.
