The highlight of the only folk life festival in East Texas is the syrup making demonstration on the Depot Museum grounds. Experienced syrup makers operate the museum’s antique mule powered equipment to produce old fashioned cane syrup. While the syrup cooks, other folk artists demonstrate the techniques of lace making, rope making, basket making, blacksmithing, wood carving, quilting, and other old-time survival skills. Folk singers entertain, antique tractors whine, a petting zoo, and local civic organizations offer a varied selection of food and beverages. Downtown Henderson is alive with music, food, and vendors, with a hayride shuttle connecting the two festival areas.

The theme of this event is Pioneer Thanksgiving. Please decorate your booths like the 19th century homesteading. Prizes will be given to the best decorated booth. NightMarket.fun is a one-day nonprofit Asian pop culture festival held at Lakeline Park in Cedar Park, TX on November 14, 2026, from 4 PM to 10 PM. The event features 120+ dishes from across Asia, 100+ vendors and makers, 20+ live performances across two stages, a cosplay contest, anime and gaming activities, Cinema by the Lake, and a kids' zone.
