The Washington Street Unity Festival is a free, family-friendly event held on the historic Washington Street in High Point, NC—a once-thriving hub for the Black community known as “Black Wall Street” in the 1950s and 60s. The area, rich with Black-owned businesses, churches, and culture, is being brought back to life through community efforts. What began as a small neighborhood gathering has grown into a yearly celebration of pride, unity, and history.
Like every great athlete, leader, and community, there comes a defining moment—a season that marks the transition from potential to purpose. As the Washington Street Unity Festival celebrates 16 years, we honor the legacy that built us while embracing the confidence, leadership, and vision that will shape our future. Monroeberfest is an Oktoberfest celebration that takes over East Franklin Street in downtown Monroe for the day, running from noon into the evening. It features live bands all day, wrestling, a bounce house, vendors, beer and food. The 2026 edition is set for Saturday, October 3, centered on East Frank Superette and Kitchen at 209 E Franklin St.

The Wilmington Riverfest’s Board of Directors unanimously voted to cancel the 2026 festival due to untenable venue logistics and public safety constraints imposed by recent municipal decisions. Rather than compromise operational integrity, the Board is redirecting resources to a 2027 return that meets its established standards for vendor and attendee experience. Since April 2026, the Board has engaged the city in good faith to address its decision to relocate the festival from Front Street. FabFest Daytime is an annual event presented by Tosco Music, open to the public from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The event features two market areas: the FabFest Marketplace (indoors) for Beatles-related merchandise and other vendors, and the Strawberry Field Art Market (outdoors) for art, craft, and fashion with a 60s-era theme. Food and beverage vendors are also welcome in a dedicated outdoor area.
Asheville Oktoberfest returns Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 1–5 p.m. on Coxe Avenue in the South Slope Brewery District. Presented by Fields Automotive, the event features local beer, festive food, live entertainment, Oktoberfest games, and costumes. Join us for the 43rd Annual Church Street Art & Craft Show- one of Downtown Waynesville's longest running fall festivals, and only juried art show. This annual show celebrates the beauty and diversity of handmade crafts, bringing artisans together on Main Street for a day long vendor market with bagpipes, live music and dancing, and delicious food. The Church Street Art & Craft Show was founded by Teresa Pennington and Richard Miller more than 40 years ago. Within a few years, the show outgrew Church Street and quickly became one of Main Street's most popular annual events.
