Ann Arbor's KindleFest runs December 4, 2026, from 5 to 10 pm in the Kerrytown District, with kids' activities from 5 to 7 pm and live music from 7 to 10 pm. The Christkindlmarkt style market features artisans selling holiday wares, food trucks, hot mulled wine, beer and Gluhwein, while nearby Kerrytown shops and restaurants stay open late.

The Detroit Urban Craft Fair, now in its 21st year, takes place December 5 and 6, 2026, at Detroit's Masonic Temple, 500 Temple Street. More than 100 Michigan and Midwest makers sell indie crafts and art, and the fair has drawn about 7,000 attendees since it started in 2005.

Noel Night is a longstanding, free holiday open house across Detroit's Cultural Center and Midtown district, produced by Midtown Detroit, Inc. Over 100 institutions and small businesses, including museums, the public library and Wayne State University buildings, normally open their doors with music and activities. Midtown Detroit Inc paused the event for the 2025 season to reassess its future direction, replacing it that year with a business led Merry Midtown celebration, with plans to bring Noel Night back afterward.
