The Newton July 4th Open Air Market is the city's full day Independence Day celebration at Albemarle Field, running 1 pm until dusk with setup starting at 11 am. Daytime brings amusement rides, food trucks, live entertainment and a handmade craft fair, and the day ends with a fireworks display after dark. Non-food exhibitors register through the city's online portal for a 10 by 10 foot booth space, though the event routinely fills to capacity with a waitlist available afterward.
