The Gonzales Jambalaya Festival runs Thursday, May 21 through Sunday, May 24, at 219 South Irma Boulevard in Gonzales. Hours run 5 to 10 pm Thursday, 7:30 am to 11 pm Friday, 7:30 am to midnight Saturday and 7:30 am to 9:30 pm Sunday. The festival centers on a jambalaya cook off, with carnival rides, live music and arts and crafts vendors, and admission is free Thursday, $5 Friday and $10 Saturday.

<p>The 2026 Marshland Festival returns July 24-25 at the Lake Charles Event Center, which guarantees an inside and air-conditioned experience.</p> <p>The Marshland Festival originated in Hackberry over 30 years ago. It began at the community center and, over the years, has become a huge festival known for supporting local Southwest Louisiana artists sprinkled with traveling national names.
