This will be the thirteenth annual free festival. It was established to preserve and present Louisiana roots music and has grown in popularity with each passing year. It is not, however, an opportunity for busking. It is a concert/festival sponsored by the Abita Springs Opry and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival & Foundation, Inc. The Mandeville Trailhead Community Market sets up every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm at 675 Lafitte Street in Historic Old Mandeville, Louisiana. More than 80 local artisans, producers and growers sell seasonal produce, eggs, honey, fresh cut flowers, annual plants, prepared foods and crafts, at a site with pavilions, an amphitheater and a renovated train station with a splash fountain, next to the Tammany Trace trail.
