We celebrate the end of our market season on the last Saturday in March with the BIG Freret Street Festival! The market is split up along three category lines: food, art, and flea. Besides all of the great shopping every week, the market also hosts local restaurants serving up their unique cuisine, live music, and a kids area. The Freret Market is a place for neighbors to meet, a place to relax and find a unique item, and an important part of the renaissance on Freret Street. Come sell your stuff. Come shop. The 50th Annual Zwolle Tamale Fiesta takes place October 8 through 10, 2026, at the Zwolle Festival Grounds in Louisiana. The weekend celebrates the town's Spanish and Indian heritage with tamales, live entertainment, arts and crafts, dancing, parades, a 5K run and children's activities.
