The board members, as well as the committee members, all work hard year round to make the preparations for the festival every year. Honoring the board members as Kentucky Colonels is a way of saying thank you for a wonderful 50 years! The World Chicken Festival runs Thursday, September 24 through Sunday, September 27, 2026, in downtown London, Kentucky, honoring the legacy of Colonel Harland Sanders. Festival hours run 5 to 11 pm Thursday and 10 am to 11 pm Friday, with Sunday closing at 5 pm. The event features the World's Largest Stainless Steel Skillet, which has served more than 120,000 fried chicken dinners, drawing over 30,000 visitors annually.

For nearly four decades the Kentucky Wool Festival has proudly supported our community and worked to uphold our mission of celebrating artisans and local heritage. We look to the future with excitement to continue to further our mission and better our event for our guests. The festival is undertaking a number of improvements and infrastructure investments. Recently we have repaved the grounds and expanded parking but there is more work to be done. Moving forward electrical and technology upgrades are needed and we will be partnering with a professional organization for parking.
