The polka party happens around Anton’s German Bier Garden and on East 4th Street, just north of the river. There will be live music; beer and food, and fun contests. A traditional Bavarian endurance contest during which contestants must hold a one-liter stein of beer in one outstretched arm for as long as possible. The filled stein weighs roughly five pounds and must be kept parallel to the ground at all times. Any spilling leads to immediate disqualification! The 2nd annual Butler County Vintage Market, Antique and Craft Show runs from Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27, at 101 South Main Street in Allison, featuring antiques, vintage, primitive and rustic items in the Maifeld Livestock Building and crafts in the Henning Building. Food trucks, beverages and live music run on the grounds, rain or shine, and vendor camping is available on site. Admission is 1 dollar for anyone 17 and older, with free parking.

SkateFest Omaha’s Broadway event takes place October 11, 2026 at Broadway Skate Park, 1300 W Broadway, Council Bluffs, Iowa. The festival combines skateboarding, live music, art, local vendors, and food. Since 1973, the community of Remsen has celebrated Oktoberfest annually on the last Saturday in October. The event’s mission is to carry on the community tradition of the Luxembourg and German heritage while celebrating the end of harvest. Start the day browsing and shopping craft and vendor fair from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at MMCRU with over 90 vendors. Breakfast and lunch will be available.
