About the event
The Powell Street Festival returns for its 49th year over the August long weekend, celebrating Japanese Canadian culture and community. Recent programming has included the 18th annual Asahi Tribute Game, tributes to community elders such as Shig Hirai, and an exhibition marking 50 years of the festival.
