About the event
Houby Fest has celebrated Czech and Slovak heritage and the annual mushroom harvest since 1968, along Austin and Cermak in Cicero's L Strip. The free, three day weekend draws an estimated 80,000 people for food booths, a carnival, arts and crafts, music and the Houby Queen Pageant, opening Thursday from noon to 10:30 p.m.
