About the event

We are the Shasta Growers Association (SGA). We were established after the California Department of Food And Agriculture developed the Certified Farmers Market Program for the State of California in 1977. Fun fact, when we formed the SGA, we became one of the first Farmers Market Associations in California! We currently operate four Farmers Markets - three in Redding and one in Burney. All four markets are certified through the Shasta County Agricultural Commissioner and the State of California Department of Food and Agriculture Program. We grow what we sell. We support local fresh food. We believe in farmers and makers. EBT/Cal Fresh and WIC and Senior Nutrition are gladly accepted at SGA Markets.
