About the event
The Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention marks 100 years of the Athens Fiddle Contest at Athens State University in Athens, Alabama. Contestants compete in 14 state championship categories including fiddle, banjo, mandolin, dobro, dulcimer and bluegrass band, and a companion concert series brings in touring acts such as Del McCoury Band and The Isaacs.
