About the event
Alianait Arts Festival is known as the world's circumpolar stage, held in Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada, in late June each year. It brings mostly Indigenous performers, many of them Inuit artists from across the Arctic, for live music and performances. Artist applications are posted each year on the organizer's own site, with northern residency applicants including artists from Nunavut, NWT, Yukon, Nunavik, Nunatsiavut, Greenland, Alaska and Scandinavia given special consideration.
